GOOD START:ACTING IGP VISITS NPTF AS FIRST PRIORITY, ASSURES CLOSER WORKING RELATIONSHIP

POISED to reposition the Nigeria Police and elevate it enviably to the delight of all men and officers, even in the interest of all Nigerians, the newly appointed Acting Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has made the Nigeria Police Pension Trust Fund, NPTF his first port of call as he took up the responsibility as Nigeria’s Ag IGP.

Concerned with the need to lead a police force that will be efficient, effective and dependable given the onerous task of policing a highly troubled country nation, currently afflicted by insecurity, the IGP said that the health of the NPTF is Germaine to a Nigeria Police that will thrive and triumph over the myriad of challenges confronting it.

In his words, ” The Police Trust Fund is my first port of call after being decorated as the new Acting Inspector – General of Nigeria Police Force to let you and members of the Nigeria Police know that the intervention of NPTF is highly needed and expected at this crucial time.
“The mission of the Trust Fund targeted at having a well-trained, well- equipped and highly motivated Police Force, will be supported by my administration with unwavering cooperation”
The Executive Secretary of the NPTF, Hon.Aliyu Ahmed Sokoto earlier in his welcome address expressed appreciation to the IGP for choosing the NPTF as his first duty call after being decorated by Vice President at the state house, stressing that the visit is so crucial and would not be taken for granted.

“This visit underscores the importance of NPTF’s much needed intervention for the Nigeria Police Force”, he averred .
Speaking further, he assured the Acting Inspector- General of Police of his administration’s commitment to the mandate of the NPTF.
