LAGOS – NIGERIA : Prominent faith based organisation , KOGA FAITH FOUNDATION, Nigeria and USA on Friday, 11th Sept. pulled development stakeholders together at its Vision Collective summit supported by News Nigeria – USA, a news media that reports values from Nigeria to the US.
The summit which held at Rockview Hotel Festac, brought together God’s children who are also nation builders , to discuss strategic collective actions to catalyse national transformation.
Addressing the summit, the convener, Bishop Dr. Priscilla Onyemaechi Otuya said that when God’s people form alliances for collective good , amazing shared benefits are usually the outcome.
Further explaining the event purpose , Otuya stressed that it was designed to bring together God’s elect , visionaries and strategic leaders to compare spiritual notes , share visions and values , discern what God is saying concerning our nation and our times , and move collectively from revelation to responsible action for national transformation.
The summit called on participants to join the National Council for Faith – Based Social & Civic Entrepreneurs ; partner with or support specific initiatives; volunteer skills , expertise , resources or networks ; Participate in orientation , training and mentorship programmes, and then ; Help develop practical solutions to identified national challenges.
Bishop Otuya urged Nigerians to embrace this united front to make their societies a better place rather than engaging in fruitless criticism of govt.and leaders, stressing that God is aware of all situations and will bring peace at the appropriate time.
On a broader scale, Bishop Otuya presented the National Visions Collective, A.K.A Volunteers for National Transformation, as a national platform initiated to identify, connect and mobilize faith – based social and civic entrepreneurs , professionals, innovators, leaders and citizens who carry ideas, skills , resources and solutions that can contribute to Nigeria’s transformation.
She buttressed that it seeks to move us from scattered capacity to collective capacity, and from vision to action.
One of the dignitaries at the mini summit , Rev. Dr. Dele Ajayi, Presiding Chaplain of Chapel of Christ The Light while speaking likened the event to a larger religio – politico gathering held years ago to influence Lagos’ leadership future where 200 each of Christian and Muslims clerics gathered in a strategic forum.
He saluted Koga Faith for such a significant non denominational , inter faith convergence at a critical stage of Nigeria.
Bishop Elect and Overseer, United Gospel Churches Association of Nations, Chiju Joseph Nkwo, Dr. Emeka Obidi, Alhaja Bolatito and others all scored the organisers high as they took turns to address the gathering.
The occasion also had praise, worship, interactive , awards and prayer segments.
