According to a press document signed and released yesterday by Adelani Baderinwa, Secretary, Osun ADC, the Presidential Candidate of the ADC, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has said that the leadership of the party in the South West has never been in dispute as he declared Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as the Leader.
Addressing cross section of the ADC in a meeting in the South West led by it’s Zonal Chairman, Hon Akin Omole, the former Vice President of Nigeria said Ogbeni Aregbesola earned his leadership in the region having occupied vital political offices with his vibrancy in political mobilisation and organization.
Alhaji Atiku who thanked ADC South West leadership for causing the meeting to hold said everything humanly possible will be done reconciling the differences within amongst the leaders in the zone for the good of the party.
He called on all the leaders in the zone to close ranks, and work assiduously together to achieve success in the coming election.
The zonal chairman, Hon Akin Omole had told the ADC presidential candidate about the persistent disquiets across the six states which has retarded party progress and the decision to find solutions ahead of the general election.
Hon Omole urged Alhaji Atiku and other leaders in attendance to help resolve all problems as observed in the findings of the committee set up to interrogate the situation of the party in the region.
Hon Omole presented the report of the committee to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as the meeting called on leaders to get themselves reconciled with the current situation and the essential need for the ADC to achieve resounding victory in the general election.
