Hajiya Simbiat Olajumoke Salahu was born in the year 1964 to the family of late Alh. Salahudeen Iyanda Ibitoye of Ile – Elemo Aresikeye, Oyan, Osun State.
She started her educational career at Tsugugi L.E.A Primary School, Zaria, between 1970 and 1976.
She proceeded to Women Teachers College, Kabomo, Kaduna state, between 1977 and 1982.
Her further educational quest saw her obtain GRD 11 Teachers Certificate.
She attended Oyo State College of Education, Ila Orangun between 1986 and 1989 and bagged NCE in French/IRS.
Hajiya Salahu attended the University of Ilorin, between 1989 and 1992 for her B.A.Ed in French/Education.
Unrelenting Salahu in 1995/96 bagged M.Ed in Educational Management from the prestigious Lagos State University.
Having acquired relevant trainings and certifications, she exerted quantum professional energy in teaching when she she dispensed her prowess in various secondary schools in Lagos state before voluntarily retiring from the employ of the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission in 2006.
Now the Executive Director of As- Saabiquun International Academy, Gwarinpa, Abuja, Simbiat Olajumoke Salahu remains the Coordinator, As – Saabiquun Foundation.
Her leadership prowess and prudential intellectual capacity led her to lead the Women of NASFAT, Abuja, Kubwa branch and belongs to several professional and Religious associations such as the NAPPS; The Criterion.
She is also a Special FRSC Marshal, Abuja and Member, Metropolitan Lions Club, Abuja.
Multi gifted Salahu was the immediate past Chairperson of AMIS, the umbrella body of all Muslim Schools Directors in the FCT: she speaks Yoruba, Hausa, English and French languages fluently.
She loves adventure, reading and meeting good people.
She is happily married and enjoys her husband, children and grandchildren.
