The visit of the Director General (DG) of the National Institute for Sports (NIS), Prof OLawale Moronkola, on 8th March 2022 marked a watershed and new dawn for the Nigerian Modern Pentathlon Federation.
President of the Federation, Chief, Dr. Jonathan Nnaji, with two other board members, Dr Jimmy Adeniji and Engr. Adebayo Adeleke, received the august visitor.
As a proof of warm welcome and appreciation, apparently elated Chief, Dr Jonathan Nnaji thanked him for making out time out of his busy schedules to visit the Pentathlon Secretariat, and applauded him on the long term mutually beneficial relationship that has existed between the National Institute for Sports and Nigerian Modern Pentathlon Federation; pleaded for the sustainable development of other vital areas that are common to both the Federation and the institute.
Prof. Moronkola was also introduced to the office of the Nigerian Olympic Committee, NOC, where he met and interacted with the Secretary General, Mr.Banjo Oladapo .
In the course of their discussion, the Director General and the Secretary General of Nigerian Olympic Committee stressed the need for wider synergy between the Nigerian Institute for Sports and Nigerian Olympic Committee.
They also interacted on areas they can partner for the sustainable development of the institutions and NOC.
The Director General was thereafter taken round and introduced to the staff of Nigerian Olympic Committee by the Secretary General of olympic Committee.
Finally, the President of the Nigerian Modern Pentathlon Federation Chief Dr. Jonathan Nnaji, presented Souvenirs to the Director General of NIS in appreciation for his coming, which he said is an evidence of good working relationship with the Federation and the institute.
