Army men numbering over 10,today,allegedly invaded a popular brothel at Babalegba busstop area of Ijegun road,Igando/Ikotun Local Development Area,Alimosho,Lagos and brutalised the barman and one of the commercial sex workers who was in sight,Timeswatch has gathered.
The military boys according to the barman arrived on different motorcycles,rushed into the brothel looking fierce and pounced on him and a sex worker in the bar.
The barman who got the brutalisation of his life from the soldiers who brandished daggers and horsewhips said that the men did not allow him explain anything before the pummeling began. He also said that an unfortunate occupant of the brothel who dared to question the officers got the beating of her life before she ran for her dear life to join her colleagues upstairs.
It was gathered that the soldiers hammered the barman until he gasped for breath,inflicting injuries on him.
Timeswatch learnt that the invasion was sequel to the argument that ensued between one of the sex workers and a woman supposedly going to a vigil service last night.
It was gathered that the woman had thrown tantrums at the sex worker who was by the gate near the road,calling her a whore. The sex worker was said to have also reciprocated by asking the ‘Churchwoman’ if it was her husband that deflowered her.
The question of the sex worker according to the manager who narrated the scene of last night infuriated the holier-than-thou-woman who vowed to deal with the whore.
This morning according to the manager,the woman got back from vigil and mobilised a group of area boys to storm the hotel so as to hit the sex worker who verbally assaulted her;but to her chagrin,the boys met familiar faces at the brothel who offered them drinks to calm their nerves.
Angered by the development,the manager said that the sister of the woman who had been briefed of the incident hitherto called her army lover on phone, hence the invasion and brutalisation.
From Timeswatch findings,this is just one of the illegalities perpetrated by the military boys who allegedly operate from their Ijagemo base where they are supposed to be combating bunkering and other crimes.
Timeswatch found that community road,a neighbourhood close to Ijagemo road has had it’s fair share of this mess as women who are in illicit romance with the army boys allegedly unleash them on their husbands and boyfriend’s regularly.
Reportedly,the army boys will usually storm the area,locate their Target and victimise him in their uniforms. When Timeswatch conducted a mini opinion poll around community road,it was a mixed reaction as some residents who were not happy with the presence of street urchins in the area simply described the dastardly acts of the military boys as a welcome development.
As at the time of filing this report,the lady who invited the military boys to attack the brothel and the soldiers were still at large.
