Penultimate week, a woman, Mrs.Comfort Ekeno, a cleaner, and her 3 years old girl child, Gift, escaped being killed by two big dogs.

The accident which happened at about 2pm that fateful day at Governor’s road area of Ikotun occured when the widow went to clean up a residence acting on the invitation of the landlady, one Mrs. Busari.

Timeswatch gathered that Mrs. Ekine who was on her way to take her toddler from school got the landlady’s urgent call and rushed to clean the premises, though it was not her official work day.

According to her, pronto as they arrived and entered the home, the mighty dogs stormed out of their big cage and attacked them, strangely while the landlady watched from the entrance of her living room.

“One of the dogs was on my baby and the other, me.

“It was a most devastating and gory sight watching a ravenous dog on my little child because I only mustered guts to hold the one on me on the neck even when it continued to roar and claw into my laps.

“It took the intervention of the only tenant of the house who ran to my baby’s rescue by hitting the dog with a wood.

“The dog also attacked him, even while some neighbours who were scared to come in watched from the gate.

“The efforts of that tenant eventually saved us after we had been badly lacerated”, the widow confessed.

Timeswatch further learnt that the onlookers testified that the dogs are wild, and there had been a time the dogs entered the major road to bite pedestrians.

Further findings proved that the landlady later called her husband, Mr. Busari who returned and merely sponsored a first aid at a chemist, and sent the survivors away with a paltry 5,000.

It was learnt that Comfort went to a fellowship at her place of worship and that it was when she showed signs of discomfort that the Minister and other members realised that she and her daughter had been to hell and back, a discovery that made the church head, Mrs. Amanze take them to the Busaris who reportedly reluctantly agreed to embark on a hospital trip with the victims.

When Timeswatch spoke to Amanze, she said that the Busaris were not compassionate about the plight of the survivors from the beginning to the end, despite the fact that they unleashed the beasts after the helpless mother and child, after they told Comfort that their dogs are always locked up in the cage.

“My anger emanated from the attitude of the couple breached the agreement to always cage the dogs, a pledge they made at the point of engaging the widow as official cleanr prior to the ugly event.

“Sadly, we found that the dogs are rabbies infested.

“It is more so annoying how Mr. Busari boasted of his high connections when he was chastised about their attempt at the lives of the mother and child “, Amanze noted.

She also said that it became necessary to inform relevant institutions about the sad saga , especially as the dogs have poor health history or records.

When Timeswatch contacted Mr. Busari on behalf of his family about the case, he confirmed the incidence, stated that it was possible that it was possible that the 3 years old child went to attract the dogs, and that he only engaged the mother and not the baby.

He also pointed that he had nevertheless taken necessary treatment and assuaging steps on behalf of his family.
