Former Governor of Osun State and National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has declared the ADC as *Nigeria’s only credible alternative political platform, describing it as a party of conscience, integrity, and service to the people.*

Aregbesola made the declaration on Saturday during the *official unveiling of ADC’s new state secretariat in Ilorin*, the Kwara State capital.

In his address, Aregbesola strongly criticised the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for what he described as poor governance, economic mismanagement, and leadership failure, which have deepened poverty and hunger across the nation.

“Under the current administration, hunger has taken over the land. Governance has been reduced to personal enrichment and political intimidation”, Aregbesola stated. He further stressed that Nigerians are suffering today because of the failure of leadership under the APC.

Aregbesola maintained that the worsening economic hardship facing Nigerians will inevitably drive more citizens toward the ADC, a party he said is built on the values of discipline, accountability, and genuine public service.
” The ADC represents *hope for a new Nigeria one where government truly serves the people and restores dignity to governance”, he added.
The event in Ilorin drew party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters from across the North Central region, marking another bold step in ADC’s preparations for the *2027 general elections.
