The Pastor in charge of Christ Apostolic Church, Greater Light Assembly, Olawale Julius Komolafe has described Nigerians as facing famine during a chat with Timeswatch on Sunday at the CAC – GLA auditorium in Abaranje, Ikotun Lagos.
The chat was shortly after the thunderous praise/worship service used to commemorate the church’s 12th anniversary.

The clergyman who obviously is endowed with spiritual vibrancy and captivating pentecostal fire used the moment to express gratitude to God who had empowered him through the experimental phases of his ministry life.
He noted that the journey from the beginning was such that was so trying and frustrating, to the point that he thought of quitting at a cross roads, stressing that at those points of perplexity it was the soothing and lifting hands of God that fired his passion to forge ahead to triumph.
“There were times when I became tired and wanted to retire midway.
“But God was always there to pat me on the back and urge me on.
The worst discouragement came from acts of betrayal and fallacious condemnations from near and distant people who I thought were believers.”

Speaking of his fashion of preachings and evangelism which entails vibrant praises and worship, Komolafe stressed that the Greater Light Assembly of the CAC is simply a cautious development of what the Christ Apostolic Church stands for in the body of Christ.
“It is not a departure but a conscious adoption of ways of enhancement to promote the worship of God”, Komolafe buttressed.

On the state of the nation, he said Nigeria is unfortunately in the hands of terrible leaders and that presently Nigerians are experiencing famine.
” I cannot pretend about the way Nigeria is.
This nation is blessed with abundant human and natural resources but remains a land sadly plagued by leadership terror.
“Interestingly the church is to the rescue with prayers motivations , strategic empowerment and counseling .
“The role of the church can never be over emphasised”, he uttered.
Reacting to the shameful ways some christians behave and portray themselves in the public, Pastor Komolafe boasted that no flock of CAC can associate with shame.
“It is so sad that many people have surrendered to ways of the world, but I beat my chest to say that we are proud of those under our training or ministry”, he asserted.

Lending a voice to the discourse, an elder of the church, Franklin Aderotoye, who is a foundation member of the church said that the GLA and Pastor Komolafe are the best experiences he has had in his long walk in Christendom.
He affirmed that the nature of the church is different from several where Pastors assume ownership and keep suspicious records.

Aderotoye stated, ” Pastor Komolafe is distinguished and very transparent.
“He is not sole signatory to the church account and plays great roles in donations and sundry sacrifices”.

Funmilayo Ajoke, a Deaconess of the ministry also described Pastor Komolafe as a total man.
She said the Pastor is simply a child of God filled with the spirit of God.
Further she recalled how the ministry started in an uncompleted building where bottles, plastic buckets and spoons were used as musical tools, yet the spirit of God descended.

An evangelist, Emmanuel Oluwadamilare Gideon added that the GLA is peculiar for ensuring a lifestyle of praise that edifies humanity and draws them closer to God.
“The CAC Greater Light Assembly is a place where a born again Christian gets to know that there is need for rededication and consolidation through hearing the undiluted word of God.
As a youth, he urged the youths of Nigeria to desist from following social ills, rather he advised that the youths should prioritise godliness.
He appealed to families to review their cultures and consider the essence of good names.
Emmanuel emphasized that the kind of nation we have reflect the values of our families.
He ended describing Pastor Komolafe as a man of wisdom who is led by God, who does not compete with anyone.

The Greater Light Assembly opened donations towards the acquisition of a 5 million naira musical instruments to actualise the praise ministry of the church same day.
