As the Executive Governor of Lagos state, His Excellency Babajide Sanwoolu commissioned the Egan – Igando Housing Estate yesterday, the Sarkin Hausawa of Igando land, Muhammed Abubakar was there.
The traditional head of the Hausas hailed the governor for his good deeds, stressing that God is helping him to do his best.
According to the ‘seriki’, Igando/ Ikotun LCDA is a fast developing place that has now been beautified by the just commissioned estate.
When asked if the Hausas are coexisting happily, he affirmed that his people are happily living and doing business in the area.
“We are traders, happily doing our buying and selling without problems.
“We have good relationship with the host community and other tribes.
” I also have good relationship with other traditional rulers”, he pointed.
On development, he urged the people to support the local government chairman of the area to continue his good jobs, to augment the ones by the state.
The Sarkin however described Comrade Akinsanya as a focused and simple leader whose doors are open to the masses.
“Each time I go to the secretariat with my people, he always receives us and listens to our complaints and contributions”, he concluded.
