The carriers of 113 newly promoted police officers received a boost as the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State, CP John Abang, fdc, decorated them with their new ranks today.
The promotion which elevated them from the cadre of Inspectors to that of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) took place at the State Command Headquaters in Awka and followed the recent promotion of 6,601 personnel of the Nigeria Police Force throughout the federation.
The ceremony was attended by the Command management team and relations of the newly promoted officers.The essence of the promotion was to boost the morale of Police personnel for effective service delivery, it is also based on merit, seniority and dedication to duty.
The Commissioner Of Police congratulates the beneficiaries on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, NPM, mni and urged the officers to reciprocate the gesture done to them by redoubling their efforts towards fighting crimes and exhibiting high professionalism, civility to members of the public and respect for human rights.
The beneficiaries include; ASP Amaoge Ann Okoye In charge of Confidential office,SHQ Awka; ASP Umoru Ejima attached to Department of Operations SHQ Awka; W/ASP Chinenye Ochiobi attached to Aguata Division and a host of others.
W/ASP Amaoge Ann Okoye on behalf of the newly promoted officers thanked the IGP and the Police Service Commission for finding them worthy of the promotion and also promised to redouble their efforts towards serving the Nation with integrity.
