Fire spitting socio/political critic and activist, Comrade Joel Bamidele Folowosele has berated the FG over the spate of killing and kidnapping in Ekiti state.
Folowosele who is the Founder and President of Ekiti Proper reacted following the recent kidnap and killing cases recorded in parts of Ekiti.
Speaking to newsmen recently at his Ijero Ekiti home, he stated that it is the failure of the FG to maximally unleash the instruments of security to safeguard Nigerians that has emboldened criminals to rampage.
The comrade said that no one can gainsay that some of these ugly developments are tied to dirty politics and failure of the appropriate authorities to do the needful, thereby warning against endangering the lives of Nigerians for selfish reasons, greed and carelessness.
Further, he adviced communities everywhere to ensure beefing up security through local or alternative arrangements while expecting the constituted law enforcement agencies to act.
He however expressed worry how these vicious abductors and killers are beating Nigeria’s security and operating in the Federal Capital Territory and everywhere.
On the hardsdhip in the land, he said that the world of criminality is looking lucrative to youths who cannot feel the true impact of leadership, stating that with the current gory and sorry socio/ ecomomic realities, a mess is being made of the principle and concept of democracy which is indeed supposed to outweigh autocracy in importance.
Folowosele however finally warned that the civilians must shed the toga of underperformance and indiscipline now so that the beauty of democracy can reflect across the Nigerian state.
