The devastating effect of cultism can never be over emphasised.

And certain cult groups had become emboldened to a level that they now have special annual celebration days.

On such days, they celebrate by killing those on their death rows, initiating new members and perpetrating other nefarious crimes.

These actions are never unconnected with the use of dangerous drugs.

It is against this background that the National Coordinator, Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices, CSP Olabisi Okuwobi has sent early warning through a POCACOV Southwest release, to Community Development Associations, CDAs, Community Development Committees, Religious Leaders, Proprietors, Law Enforcement Agencies, and other stakeholders, ahead of the popular 7/7 – Founder’s Day celebration of a cult group, Supreme Aiye Confraternity (SAC), popularly called ‘Black Axe’.

The 7th of July every year is set aside by this deadly cult members as anniversary day, a day on which they unleash sanguinary strikes on enemies or rival cultists, causing pain, death, fears and tears.

According to Okuwobi, the 7:7 day is notably marked by activities including initiations, elections, and changes of leadership within the confraternity.

“This is a significant date for this group with reports of planned gatherings and potential violence”, she pointed.

The POCACOV leader further disclosed that materials such as T- Shirts, Face caps with 7:7 inscription are some of the items that reveal members.

She however called on parents, community leaders and others to keep vigilance and monitor their children, especially through ensuring close and open communication with them.

Disclosing that the colour of SAC is predominantly black, Okuwobi additionally notified the public of another deadly group, The NBM of Africa, which was originally called The Neo Black Movement.

According to her, a Wikipedia report has it that the group originated around 1977 at the University of Benin, uses predominantly yellow colour, and now operates as a Pan – African organisation , whose main activities include human trafficking, money laundering and fraudulent online operations – with a record of having committed its most notable crime at the Obafemi Awolowo University massacre.

She then urged all stakeholders to disseminate this warning and enlightenment widely for maximum awareness and safety.
