NATIONAL President, Nigeria Association of Small Scale Industrialists, NASSI Dr.(Chief) Solomon D. Vongfa on 30th July, Lagos, won the Pillar of National Development Award.
The honour which came as a special recognition to the industrialist was due to his strategic contributions to socio economic growth through industry and productivity.

It was one of the categories under the Nigerian Statesmanship Seal, a special media award from the stables of Timeswatch News Magazine, published by Grandeur Int’l Communications Ventures; supported by New Nigeria Leadership Forum, NNLF.
The NSS is a unique brand for growing statesmen who are distinguished by patriotism and illustriousness in Nigeria.
Selections for this great award cut across regions and sectors of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, thus all awardees are branded Statesmen to spur them for greater patriotism and developmental strides for our father land.

Professor Christopher Imumolen, a Presidential candidate in the 2023 election; Town Planner Risikat Bukola Bello, Pioneer National Chairman, Association of Women Town Planners in Nigeria, other distinguished Town Planners, Healthcare Professionals, Entertainment giants; Education Scientists, etc made the NSS Hall of Fame.

The keynote address, ” Using Patriotism as a Tool to Achieving Good Governance and Sustainable Development in a Democracy – The Role of Families”, was done by Viola Akhigbe, PhD, who was also a recipient.
The event also featured health talks and musical performances.
The second phase of the great event comes up in October.
