FOR ATTENTION OF THE PUBLIC

Our attention has been drawn to an infantile movement credited to some group of persons purportedly stating and claiming ownership of ancestral properties of our father “NNANYI EGERUO” and his lands with boundaries.

Ordinarily, and inline with our human disposition, we would have ignored their efforts because it is inconsequential and fake. But, taking cognizance of the fact that it is meant to deceive the unsuspecting members of the public, this rebuttal becomes absolutely expedient and necessary to put things in the proper perspectives .

The general public should note the following:
1. The indigenous people of Mbara Town is the most peaceful, hospitabe and accommodating race in the Community, LGA, State, Nigeria and the World at large.

2. The people of Mbara Ezihe engage in this struggle to protect their identity and heritage.

3. The indigenous people of Mbara Town in Ezihe Autonomous community of Imo State wish to use this medium to draw the attention of Government of Imo State, State House of assembly, Hon. Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Imo State Traditional Councils, The Councillor representing Osuowerre ward II Isiala-Mbano Local Government Area, His Royal Highness Eze D.C. Ogamba, Ihe 1 of Ezihe Autonomous Community, The president General Ezihe Autonomous Community, The Traditional Prime Minister Ezihe Autonomous Community, The Cabinet and members of Eze’s Palace Ezihe Autonomous Community, All Security Agencies, the general public and other sundry. to be aware of the news making round that Mbara Town had splitted into two more towns, are false and ridiculously purported by some disgruntled elements and enemies of Mbara Town in Ezihe Autonomous Community.They are nothing but rumor mongers and making attempt to discredit our uncommon good name in the face of the public, as such destroying peaceful coexistence we had enjoyed amongst us and around Mbara Town, Ezihe.Our town remains strong, firm and resolute in our dealing with the community where we belong. Theirs is to divide and enforce illegitimate rule over innocent citizens who dares to remind them the truth or realities of the effects of their actions against prevailing truths.

4. To avoid being subjudic as we speak and we are careful about it, Mbara Town had established legal action(with suit no:HME/62/2024) against their purported so-call ‘mbara-egeruo’ association town used in misinforming the unsuspecting members of the public.

5. Henceforth, the public should in their own interests note mindfully of the following claims the so-called ‘mbara-egeruo’ association town had been propagating. They include:
(i). that Mbara Town Hall which they renamed to favour their purpose is a blantant lie.
(ii). The ancient market ‘NKWO OKPU’ which they have forcefully hijacked, controlling and collecting undo levies since the altercation should stop.
(iii). they should have a rethink of Mbara Town Health Center which they have renamed and forcefully put to a hold from completion and is a reason we are in court. (iv). the purported ‘mbara-egeruo’ association town been parading as a tool to divide and enforce illegitimate rule should be considered Dead On Arrival and therefore follow due process if need be for it.
(v). attention of the drivers of this purported so-call ‘mbara-egeruo’ association town should be referred to Ezihe Autonomous Community administrative documents with reference to four officially gazetted towns in the government of Imo State statutory declaration. The four gazetted towns legitimately captured by the current government are OBINETITI, EZIUKWU, MBARA and UMUZOHO, all are in Isiala-Mbano Local of our State. Then, our questions are: where is this deceitful name coming from? Again, what are their reasons for this altercations? Meanwhile, the four towns mentioned above remains the captured substantive towns as contained in a gazetted documents of Isiala-Mbano Local Government Area administration.
(vi). the inconsequential and fake name they parade as earlier mentioned before now had remained our unifying household name that profiled/projects Mbara Town on the face of the public and should be respected by everyone or handlers/ peddlers of mbara egeruo association or town.
(vi). Be reminded also that, or you may not have known that there’s Certified True Copy (CTC), of the supreme Court of Nigeria judgment of October 1998 between ELENDU versus EKWOABA,(SC.62/1995. 2 Oct 1998)implying that any other
documents bearing different name such as yours remains void/nullity while MBARA Town is subsisting in Ezihe Autonomous Community. Public should disregard and treat as fake any obnoxious documents in their possession and any dealings with the so-call mbara-egeruo is doing so at his/her own risk. You are warned.

5. There is no gain- saying the obvious that their intention was nothing but to weaken the Spirit of unity and solidarity of Mbara Ezihe people in our collective efforts to guide our heritage and the identity, and therefore we don’t regret to disappoint those who may attempt to breach our unity.

6. The standard optimism of people of Mbara Ezihe is to support progress, unity security and other well-beings of all in our Town, Community, State and Nigeria at large. Our struggle is firm, resolute, unshaking and therefore no fake or imposition by fifth columnist can deter or weaken our resolve or spirit.

7. The general public are by this adviced and should on this note be reassured that Mbara people stands for Peace but cannot be intimidated.

8. We therefore wish to warn that any further steps, attempt, action or move to parade fake information or publications credited inorder to embarrass Mbara Town by any person or group of persons other than from the authority of Mbara Executive, Elder Statesman, Stakeholders and indigenes who meant well for the Mbara Town or Ezihe Autonomous Community will face legal challenge.

9. Again, we advise that the suspecting public should AVOID EVERY TRANSACTION(S) that did not pass through the administrative channels of Ezihe Autonomous Community via Mbara Town LEADERSHIP for our sake.
