TO ameliorate the plights of the students community at the Akanu Ibiam Polytechnic, Uwanna, Afikpo, the representative for Afikpo North/South Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Iduma Enwo Igariwey, has commissioned a solar-powered water project in the institution.
The water facility which will make clean water available for the students and reduce the stress of getting water, according to the donor, is part of his continuous support for education in the state.
Speaking during the recent commissioning, Igariwey stressed that the water project resulted from the cordial relationship of the Rector of the institution; Ven. Ogbonnia Ibe Enwo, assuring that the project will birth more projects and interventions in the nearest future.
In appreciation, the Students Union Govt. of the institution, led by the president, Chima Smart Okoro, presented an award of honour to Hon. Igariwey.
