_From a NYSC SAED program in Damaturu to a fast-growing digital empowerment platform with nearly 6,000 users, Corpreneur celebrates its first anniversary with measurable impact and bold plans for expansion._

February 14, 2026 marks one year since Corpreneur.ng officially launched as a digital empowerment platform focused on equipping Nigerian graduates and National Youth Service Corps members with in-demand digital skills. In just twelve months, the platform has grown to nearly 6,000 users, issued over 614 professional certificates, and facilitated numerous course completions across various digital disciplines.

Founded by Johnpraise Olamide, Corpreneur was born out of an unexpected experience during his NYSC service year in Damaturu, Yobe State. Posted from Lagos to Yobe, Johnpraise found himself teaching digital skills during the SAED program. What started as a few training sessions quickly turned into something bigger.

“During the SAED program, I trained corp members on four digital skills,” Johnpraise recalls. “The response was overwhelming. After each session, more people wanted to learn. On assessment day, the state officials were impressed by how much we had covered within such a short period. That moment made me realize there was a larger opportunity.”

Following conversations with camp officials and continued demand from interested corps members, Johnpraise created a WhatsApp learning community. By December 2024, he began building what would later become Corpreneur. On February 14, 2025, the platform officially launched.

Instead of relocating back to Lagos, Johnpraise made the bold decision to stay back in Yobe State to complete his one-year NYSC journey there, even though it was his first time in the northern part of Nigeria. What began as a grassroots digital training initiative has evolved into a registered, Nigerian-focused edtech platform accessible via web application and Telegram bot.

Over the past year, Corpreneur has established three strategic partnerships, including one licensed training partner, strengthening its ability to provide professional certifications. Beyond training, the platform also introduced Corpreneur Career, its dedicated job board and opportunity hub designed for trained talents, professionals, and entrepreneurs. Through Corpreneur Career, users can seek and browse job openings, internship placements, grants, and scholarship opportunities curated to support their career growth.

The platform has supported career advancement for its users, with corp members leveraging recommendation letters from skill trainers to enhance their CVs and secure internship placements. Through its talent pipeline and partner network, Corpreneur has facilitated internship opportunities and placed at least one graduate into full-time employment.

Despite operating as a self-funded startup, Corpreneur has maintained steady growth. “Funding has been our biggest challenge,” Johnpraise notes. “But we have continued to build, improve, and serve our community consistently. The progress we have made in one year proves that the demand for structured digital empowerment among graduates is real.”

At its core, Corpreneur operates as a social learning and empowerment ecosystem. Skilled individuals can create and share courses, while learners gain access to practical digital training, earn professional certificates from licensed partners, and explore structured career opportunities all from the convenience of their homes.

Looking ahead to year two, the company is focused on scaling impact. Plans include launching a mobile application, expanding course offerings, and pursuing deeper collaborations with corporate organizations and government bodies to widen access to structured digital training and employment pathways for Nigerian youth.

“As we celebrate one year, this is only the beginning,” Johnpraise says. “Corpreneur was built to bridge the gap between graduates and real opportunities. Our goal is to empower more young Nigerians with skills that translate directly into income, employability, and long-term growth.”

One year in, Corpreneur.ng stands as a testament to how a simple NYSC SAED program in Northern Nigeria evolved into a growing digital empowerment movement. With measurable milestones already achieved and ambitious plans for expansion, the startup is positioning itself as a rising force in Nigeria’s youth development and edtech ecosystem.
