As the rest council mayors of Alimosho joined Comrade Akinsanya, at the multi purpose hall of the Igando/Ikotun Local Council Development Area Secretariat, for the pre census Enumeration Areas Demarcation sensitization campaign, Wednesday, he and a few of his counterparts have been appointed 1st Ambassadors.
The appointment by the National Population Commission’s
Federal Commissioner in Lagos, Barr.Abimbola Salu-Hundeyin, bestowed them with authority as Chief Custodians/sensitizers of the NPC in Alimosho, towards the success of the EAD program, meant to prepare the ground for a good population and housing census.
The meeting which was convened by the federal commissioner of the NPC was attended by different community development stakeholders who included royal fathers, community heads, CDA, CDC and religion leaders.
Others at the forum were artisans, youths and political groups who paid rapt attention as the NPC authorities reeled out the gains of the exercise in connection with community and national development via proper demographic guidance.
Speaking shortly after the gathering to Timeswatch and other media houses, Akinsanya promised to drum the EAD campaign loud and clear to the people, for effectiveness.
He also said the EAD and the census proper are the bedrock of development.
Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde has earned grassroots popularity and leadership fame in Alimosho, for his good start and people oriented ways, as an executive chairman who assumed leadership on very popular demand.
