Academic activities at the prestigious Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, Lagos, have been hindered following the unabating management crises there.

The ugly development is not unconnected with allegations of unaccountability, high handedness and gross abuse of power leveled against the incumbent Provost of the institution, Dr. Azeez Ademola.
According sources, the protracted management impasse seems to be raging harder sequel to the refusal of Azeez to yield to concerted calls by anti – corruption group of the tertiary enclave for him to quit.

The #AzeezMustGo movement which comprise various interest groups within the academic community have however remained unflinching in the face of alleged intimidation by the embattled Provost who has reportedly gone into hiding at a block in the school.
Dr.Azeez has been accused of using political strategies and the DSS to fight his accusers, one of which is the school’s Deputy Registrar that was allegedly whisked by DSS officials who invaded the FCET at a wee hour, days ago.

The outgoing Students Union President when contacted by Timeswatch on this retrogressive situation, lamented the spate of academic disruption in the school.
Sounding neutral, he noted that aggrieved students leaders have moved for his impeachment, after alleging that the Provost had bribed him with 5 million naira, stressing that he is not currently within the school.
He however questioned the allegation of DSS invasion of the institution, pointing that the police are on ground for such matters.

Timeswatch equally gathered that when the Chairman of the Governing Council of the school came visiting last week, he was barricaded by protesting officials from entering the office of the provost.
As at the time of processing this report, efforts to reach the embattled Provost proved abortive as he did not take calls.
