CHOLERA – JPTS MANAGEMENT OFFERS TIPS FOR STUDENTS’ SAFETY

The cholera outbreak in town has unsettled the management of the Joint Professionals Training and Support Int’l, JPTS, making the pass precautionary/safety measures to the students community.

According to a circular circulated virtually, the institution passed several preventive tips to guard the students from the ill condition.

The tips includes; sanitary conducts and loving/caring relationships that put the welfare and wellbeing of others in consideration.

Parts of the message titled, “Cholera Outbreak Prevention in Schools ” read;

“As we resume classes , it is essential to take proactive measures to prevent the spread of cholera, especially in light of recent outbreaks in some areas.

“Cholera is a waterborne disease that spreads rapidly in unsanitary conditions.”

Some of the guides prescribed are; the practice of good hygiene, the consumption of treated or boiled water , avoidance of ice or cold beverages prepared with untreated water and maintenance of clean environment.

The management however advised support for colleagues who appear or feel ill as a way to ensuring they get health care quickly.
