It was a glorious moment at the Sunday service of Kingdom Embassy Church, also known as the Kingdom Pillars Harvesters Ministries, as Pastor Big Stephen pushed a life – changing message which centered on a “new name”.
According to the message, a new name denotes a departure from the past unto the glorious divine dividends of fulfillment, plenty and peace, all embedded in true worship and faith.
Several sermons drawn from the scriptures elicited momentary thunderous applauses from the large congregation that filled the beautiful expansive auditorium.
Amongst others, a special admonition revolved around lasciviousness, a moral deficiency which the preacher called destructive recklessness that all christians must avoid.
He drew analogies with social trends of our mothers who dressed decently because of their moral standards as against the shabby, amorous dress sense of today’s people who appear nasty, attracting all manner of immoral acts.
Charging the congregation to pursue uprightness, the preacher said that Christians should not only cherish the personality of Jesus Christ, but should ensure to imbibe his principles of righteousness, peace and excellence.
Imploring the worshippers to apply discipline and diligence in life so as to take advantage of time which he described as a major currency for results.
A marriage thanksgiving of newly married members and a baby dedication also made the service flamboyantly joyful.
New members were specially celebrated and made to dedicate or rededicate their lives to Christ , after a welcome song and group photograph at the altar to make their grand entry into the embassy an indelible event.
‘A Journey of Grace’, a book written by the General Overseer of the Church, Pastor Olumide Ajayi – a spiritual, psychological, intellectual keepsake was part of the largese served all first timers.
