Thunderous celebration and jubilation greeted the presentation of the flag of the All Progressives Congress to the party’s candidate for the coming council election, Hon. Chief Julius Abayomi Folowosele (Akeweje of Ijero kingdom).
The presentation which was done by the party leadership in the area attracted political stalwarts from across the state.
The moods of the people of Ijero, especially the youths reflected their longing for the person of JAF to take the reins of political leadership for the good of the land.
Timeswatch correspondent who moved around town prior to and after the presentation ceremony talked to a lot of Ijero community stakeholders who gave loving remarks about the Chairmanship hopeful who majority specifically addressed as a man of integrity and wisdom.
An elderly leadership observer who did not want his name in print disclosed that he is simply happy that the advent of Julius Abayomi Folowosele will end meaningless and non beneficial political leadership in Ijero.
JAF in reacting to the occasion simply saluted the party leadership for finding him worthy of the rare opportunity to serve.
He also hailed the Ijero people for reposing great confidence in him, assuring that he would use the instrument of power to shower them with dividends of democracy when elected.
Proceeding, he pointed that when a leader is devoid of the spirit of service and accountability, such a leader is a wrong factor in a democracy.
He used the moment to beg the electorate to come out en masse to show him love on Saturday through their ballots!
Hon. Julius Abayomi Folowosele parades a beautiful pedigree as a public spirited citizen and has a very promising manifesto as a leadership roadmap.
