NANS Vows To Stop The Emergence of Leaders Who Do Not Mean Well For Youths, Citizens In 2023, Hails Prof. Imumolen For His Youth Empowerment Agenda

No Nigerian without genuine economic empowerment agenda for the youths and the Nigerian people will be allowed into power in 2023, Comrade Peter Jesse, the FCT Chapter Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS has declared.
He made this declaration after congratulating Prof Imumolen, President, Joint Professionals Training and Support International who was coronated as the Addo-Abaji, Abuja recently at the FCT. Jesse also applauded the youth-driven economic and educational schemes of Imumolen, describing them as acts of a true patriot and leader.

According to Jesse who is a 500l Mechanical Engineering student of the University of Abuja, the NANS under the Leadership of the National President, Comrade Sunday Osefo has began enlightenment programmes to teach the Nigerian student and indeed the youths how to actively be part of the leadership process in order to effect positive changes; stressing that a lot of efforts are being made by NANS through the Joint Campus Committee, JCC in the direction of proper sensitization.

Comrade Jesse who is also the Chairman, Joint Campus Committee, JCC of NANS, noted that the NANS is set to engage the govt and all stakeholders towards getting leadership right especially as 2023 general election draws near. According to him, apart from Nigerian students affairs, the association concerns with ensuring that governance as it affects the citizens is in proper shape.

On why he attended Prof.Imumolen’s coronation after postponing his Port Harcourt trip, Jesse pointed that the Professor’s antecedents and profile as a man who is outrightly youth oriented and humanitarian, attracted him to the coronation, stressing that no doubt, his aspiration for the presidency will re write the narrative of leadership in Nigeria to the delight of youths and all citizens.
Comrade Jesse further stated that for Prof Chris Imumolen to get a powerful chieftaincy from a powerful traditional leader from the North Central, he represents religion ecumenism, unity and peaceful coexistence, principles upon which his government will thrive to unite Nigeria with love.
“I am not saying that NANS is adopting him, but I am saying that he stands for the yearnings of the masses.
“He is a good pillar of youth empowerment and patriotism whose good deeds touch all parts of the country.
“Definitely, we will stand by him on his mission to the presidency”, Jesse submitted.

Advising those politicians who think that they could as usual sustain the negative socio economic situation to quit, he asserted that the Nigerian youths have become wiser, and would rather ask those politicians seeking to use them for election thuggery to take the guns and lead.
He noted that the end of bad leadership has come in Nigeria and that this era is irreversibly “youth o clock”, a time he said that the youths will never support any candidate on the basis of party, tribe and religion, affirming that for massive participation of youths, the NANS had at a forum engaged INEC to bring PVC registration and collection centres to the various campuses.

Ending, he urged Prof. Imumolen to remain firm on the journey he has began, and hailed the national president of NANS, for his exceptional leadership which has championed advocacies for the overall interest of Nigerians.
