After over six months of fleeing a suburb of Lagos, Lady, Ifeoluwa Taiwo has broken the silence by calling his brother, Adeleke, to tell him that, though her state is precarious, she is safe.

According to Adeleke, his sister was publicly disgraced early this year when a group of natives flooded their family home, alleging that Ife was caught somewhere caressing a fellow female, stressing that they charged angrily, wielding weapons and charms, until the intervention of a community leader.
He stated that the irate mob later dragged Ife to the village shrine that night preparatory for a traditional rite the next day when she will be first made to dance naked before all the villagers, after which she will be stoned to death.

“My sister was dead scared, because another youth suddenly alleged she was earlier caught mating with another elderly woman in a small bush leading to a village square.
“That night, all our family members were worried.
“We were also shocked to hear all we did. None of us knew this aspect of her life.
“We were not allowed to stay anywhere close to the shrine.
Only the priest and a few custodians that comprised aged women guarded the place”,

Further, he stressed that in the morning, the youths angrily came to their family and met everyone weeping.
Adeleke pointed that it was as early as 5am, and that the youths numbering over 30 claimed that my sister escaped when the shrine keepers got busy.
“They searched everywhere for Ife,
and angrily, they threatened that they will use all networks to fish her out since the gods must be placated by stoning her at the shrine
They shattered doors and windows, firing dane guns sporadically around our house while we laid flat frozen”, he shared.

Continuing, Adeleke said Ife later called from somewhere in Benin Republic and told the family not to worry, explaining how she met one Bisoye who showed her love and promised to help her.
Adeleke told Timeswatch correspondent that after that call, no member of the family ever heard from Ife until her recent call from the US; a long period of silence which led all to conclude she possibly was dead, particularly as they had none to call.

Ife’s latest call which came in May, coincided with his strange encounter with a power bike man who rode near him, close to his house, and said, ‘ your sister eloped with top secrets, but soon, our men will fish her out right there in Brazil, and she is finished’
“When Ife called, we jumped for joy, but it was an ephemeral one, because of the revelation of how she moved from Africa to Brazil, and how her benefactor (Bisoye), who aided her from Badagry into Benin Republic, and then to Brazil, dumped her in the camp of black ladies who are meant to get pregnant for various men, for babies that would be pounded into blends for charms, usually bought by African politicians, mostly Nigerians – gory discovery that again made Ifeoluwa flee the camp luckily, one fateful day, through the help of a guard who had secret affection for her”, Leke stated.

On why he approached the police headquarters, Leke affirmed;
“Scared for my sister, I had to visit the police headquarters months ago to notify them of the antecedents that pushed my sister away, so they could try to see if the militia group and fanatics, who have strong tentacles could be connected to all the gruesome encounters of Ife, particularly as Brazil is known to have a semblance of Yoruba culture”, he declared.

Ending Adeleke said their family are already under intensive prayers as Ife requested, stressing that Ife affirmed that she fled Brazil finally to the US, where she hopes to find peace, through the assistance of a guard’s family; crying that sadly Ifeoluwa hid a critical aspect of her life within herself for such a long time due to socio cultural and religion inhibitions.
He also said the police decided on actions they will not make public, so as not to unduly prod those involved or likely suspects, especially as past efforts at suppressing advocates of these neanderthal practices yielded little or no result.
