A quarterly devotional to build the courage of Nigerians in the face of the lingering economic realities of today has been unveiled in Lagos.

The devotional, called ‘The Encourager’ is the latest work of Yinka and Funke Padonu, who preside over Kingdom Intelligent Global Network (KIGN), and are both media Experts.

Unveiling the book officially in Lagos recently, the Lagos State Director of Training of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Pastor Olumide Olugbenle, said Nigerians should hold on to their faith in God and draw encouragement from the word of God as this is the core of the new devotional.

The Director reteirated that the only way citizens can keep hope alive, mitigate the high rate of depression is to draw encouragement from the word of God as emphasized in the new devotional.

According to the Co-Author of the work, Yinka Padonu, the devotional serves as a rich resource for people to draw strength in the time of despair. As stated in Hebrew 12:6, “Lift up weary hands and strengthen feeble knees.”

“This devotional is a compendium of scriptural thoughts that touches core of human lives as presented by selected writers. Funke and I are only privileged to lead the team.” He said.

Giving her perspective, Funke emphasized that the devotional will impact the lives of readers as well as mitigate against anxiety and fears of the unknown, as the book takes care of all worries while encouraging the reader to hope for the best.

“I have realized that in the journey of life, challenges are almost inevitable, but we can be encouraged to have hopes for a better future. We have gone through our own fair share of challenges in life and God’s word was our anchor. ” She noted

Other notable guest at the event includes, Bishop Tunji Ijaola, Dr. Sam Oyemade, Bishop Bola Arinola, Dr. Wilson Arikpo, Pst.(Mrs.) Biodun Eresenara among others.
