GLOBAL ADVOCACY FOR PEACE BEGINS IN NIGERIA AS PEACE AMBASSADORS HOLDS UNVEILING CEREMONY IN LAGOS

A group, the Peace Ambassadors Initiative recently unveiled for global peace activities towards a truly progressive and developmental world.
The unveiling which took place at CY Hotel and Suites, Governor Road, Ikotun, Lagos, Nigeria, West Africa, headquarters of the group, was covered by Nigeria’s Television Authority, the NTA, and a host of other media.

At the event which had the executives, members and participants from different parts of Nigeria, including the paramount ruler of the Hausas (Sarkin Hausawa), Ikotun; the President/Founder of PAI, Ambassador Cyril Abionanojie Ezewele, reeled out the vision and mission of the peace initiative.

According to him, the need to champion advocacies for peaceful, harmonious and progressive coexistence amongst nationalities in a nation that has began to evolve dangerously informed the creation of PAI, as an offshoot of the Ambassador Ezewele Cyril Abionanojie Foundation. He pointed during his emotive address;
“We are an association of humanitarian global initiative, non governmental and voluntary development organisation established and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria, CAC.
” Our mission and vision are centered on ethno-religious conflict resolution in countries around the world, via arbitration, dialogue and sensitization for the actualization of sustainable peace which remains the life gate to our collective progress for the betterment of all irrespective of our individual tribal, religious affiliation or geopolitical affiliation.
“Our motto which is Justice, Peace and Unity is geared towards guiding us en route for researching and implementation of a meaningful and scholarly engagements on how to live in peace and harmony as we resolve conflicts without violence in our ethnically, racially and religiously divided globe.
” We must rise from the unproductive seat of shifting blames to the productive field of fixing the broken pieces.
“We must be ready to learn, unlearn and re learn in order to love and embrace ourselves with the singleness of vision or we shall run the risk to hate and destroy ourselves as fools.
” There is no way we can shy away from the fact that the multiple chains of evil militating against our very survival and peaceful coexistence presently are products of the corrupt seeds sown in the past.”

Expatiating, vastly traveled and versed Ambassador Ezewele affirmed that there is only a tiny variation of difference between non performance and bad performance, stressing that no one should sit on the fence.
“It is either we are part of the solution or causes of the tragedy”, he expressed.
He ended by imploring every well meaning citizen of the world to join the vanguard of the Peace Ambassadors in order to catalyse an enduring process and frame work of peace.

Ambassador Muhammed Adamu, Cyriacus Izuekwe, Emeagi Williams, Queen Ezewele and Sam Ejikeme all spoke in tandem with the president, highlighting the eternal essence of the peace initiative and why all hands must be on deck.

The Sarkin Hausawa, Ikotun, Alh.Nuhu Alhassan who spoke through an interpreter also lent his royal voice, and called for general synergy.
The grandeur display of diverse cultural and traditional fashion by all at the dignitaries studded unveiling event made it historical.
