The Lagos Chapter Chairman of the United Gospel Churches Association of Nigeria, UGCAN, Ap.Dr. Adigun Adeshola, JP, has disclosed plans to make life more meaningful for christians.

According to the newly appointed clergy helmsman, the UGCAN is on a mission to complement the activities of the existing christian blocs through innovations and strategies that will redefine the socio economic lives of Christians , apart from sustaining the focus for Christ and heaven.
Emphasizing that the UGCAN will prioritise Welfare, Wellbeing/Protection and Information/enlightenment, Adigun pointed that as a matter of urgency, strong tentacles of the association which will be highly impactful, shall be in the 57 council areas of Lagos state .
He stressed that UGCAN presence across the divides would be in fulfilment of its vision.

Explaining the welfare concern of the association, Adigun stated that Pastors and servants deserve good life, thus, dimensions will be adopted towards ensuring that good life, stressing that the ugly reports and shameful incidents about pastors result from poor situations and unpalatable experiences which can be arrested through well schemed welfare programs.
Continuing, he stressed that the issue of wellbeing or security is pivotal to UGCAN as measures and modalities to check injustice of diverse forms as touch christians must be ensured.

Shedding further light, he noted that unwarranted oppression, suppression, intimidation and victimisation as meted to the christians will be legitimately prevented or drastically reduced, divulging the possibility of a Christians Rights Concern, a body that would be charged with protecting rights of God’s people who are antagonised everywhere.
Speaking on the information or enlightenment need, Adigun opined that adequate information will be used to guide pastors in the service of God so they are armed to carry out their works as shepherds who must also orientate their flock very well.

Finally, he expressed gratitude to God for the grace to earn this office and the emergence of UGCAN as a body, saluting the international President, Priscilla Otuya for her devotion and passion to make a difference in Christendom.
