President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid received a major consolidation yesterday as Nigeria’s celebrated youth empowerment maestro, education technocrat, entrepreneurship tactician and politician; Prof Christopher Irene Imumolen declared total support for it.
Prof. Imumolen, the National Chairman of Accord Party/ Presidential candidate officially collapsed his national presidential campaign structure and unveiled a coalition code named, ” PBAT – ACCORD/PCI 2027 COALITION publicly dropping 10 solid reasons as basis for his action.
Expatiating during the world press conference held in his Agidingbi, Lagos office yesterday, vocal Imumolen noted that his purposes are national development driven and remain in the best interest of Nigeria, this crucial phase.
According to Prof Imumolen who fielded questions from journalists from various national print, broadcast, online media who thronged the large media engagement; there is no mincing words about his support for President Tinubu’s continuity in 2027, asserting that the president’s policies remain promising and truly nationalistic, despite challenges.
Further, Imumolen announced that all other structures for governorship and other elective positions of the party are not affected by this super coalition.
In the words of the former presidential candidate of Accord:
“Following my emergence as the presidential candidate of the Accord Party during the duly conducted presidential primaries, I, in consultation with the leadership of the party, made the patriotic decision to withdraw from the presidential race and fully support the re-election of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in the 2027 Presidential Election.
“This decision was not borne out of personal interest but from a deep conviction that the unity, stability, and continued progress of Nigeria must take precedence over personal political ambition.
“The reasons for this decision are as follows:
1. Shared Vision for Nigeria.
President Tinubu’s reform agenda and policies closely align with the core objectives of my manifesto, particularly in the areas of economic transformation, education, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, industrialisation, and national development.
2. Exceptional Leadership Capacity.
His resilience and ability to navigate Nigeria’s complex political and economic landscape demonstrate uncommon courage, determination, and strategic leadership worthy of emulation.
3. Unmatched Political Sagacity.
In Nigeria’s democratic history, President Tinubu has consistently displayed extraordinary political wisdom, foresight, and nation-building capacity that have produced transformational leaders across the country.
4. Commitment to Progressive Governance.
His commitment to sustaining progressive governance through purposeful leadership, institutional reforms, and continuity provides confidence in Nigeria’s long-term growth and stability.
5. Ability to Discover and Empower Talent.
President Tinubu has shown remarkable ability to identify capable individuals, build consensus, promote national unity, and make difficult decisions in the best interest of the nation.

Today, I therefore declare my total support for the re-election of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in the 2027 Presidential Election. I equally call on members of the Accord Party, my supporters across Nigeria, the youth, professionals, and all patriotic Nigerians to join hands in supporting this national project.
Our decision to withdraw our presidential candidature and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a deliberate sacrifice made in the interest of Nigeria. History will always remember those who placed national progress above personal ambition.
