Saheed Samuel Solumesi, a Field Representative of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship Int’l, and a Facility Manager Celebrated his golden jubilee in grand style recently.
The event which took place at the Oasis Event Place, Cincia Filling station, Subol Bus stop, Idimu – Ikotun road, attracted the who is who From the famous FGBMFI, other dignitaries, families and friends who witnessed what was rather a survival party.

Delivering a tear stained speech during the occasion, vocal Solumesi recounted his numerous ordeals as he crossed phases of life till date, calling
on young people to look beyond love and affection in making marital or marriage choices.
Describing his mother as an epitome of love, care and understanding, the birthday “boy” said his darling wife took the baton from his mother to love and live with him, shattering intimidating odds associated with the sickle cell syndrome.
Significantly, Solumesi reigned encomiums on his biological sisters whom he proudly called Angels.

Speaking on the peace that came with knowing Christ, triumphant Solumesi declared that “a life without Christ is in crises’.
According to him, fetish, diabolic blends, practices characterized his life earlier in life, as his mother ran helter skelter for his precarious life then.
“A time was when my mother took me to a certain native priest who made me bath with a bucket of animal blood, all in search of health.
“I was later given a small Coffin containing a black soap which my mom put under the bed.
“I used the soap in the scary coffin to bath for a long time, because we sought good life desperately, but all were to no avail until Jesus Christ came”, he pointed.

Beautiful remarks rented the air as family members, friends and well- wishers took turns to to talk about the celebrant.
On behalf of the committee of friends, the committee’s chairman, Abiodun Akinsanya passionately said, ” Mr.Samuel and I are connected in many ways. Our parents are friends and neighbours, hail from Ijebu in Ogun state.
“Samuel is a friend like brother; was my Sunday school teacher in RCCG.
We were in the same parish for years, before we were posted to various parishes.
“He remains trustworthy, reliable, supportive, as we continue to share a bond that spans over 3 decades.
“He was born as a sickle cell patient but he never allowed that to limit his vision and purpose in working for God, and walking with him.
“God has used him in His vineyard , spiritually, financially, physically and mentally(counselling).
God has sustained him through his storms.
“Reflecting on his growing up till his 50th birthday, it obviously has been God, and all glory goes to Him.
“Preparatory to his birthday, Samuel invited a few of his friends to assist in giving glory to heaven.
An outreach was organized to bring people to Christ, and participants were so happy.
“At the outreach, he also fed over 200 people, gave out free eye glasses to 30 people, and gifts to the Church of God.
“Solumesi has remained faithful, strong and resolute in the face of all.
“I have learnt a lot about life from his experience.
Using this birthday, I wish longer life, greater faith and fulfilment that carries good health”, Akinsanya concluded.

The event which was saturated with praises and dancing had the Governor of the Fellowship, his wife and sundry bigwigs in attendance.
