Last week, the Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC, Ijanikin chapter, Elder Akin Emmanuel Ajayi, urged Nigerians to join the PCRC to boost police and security operations.
Elder Ajayi who led his colleagues to honour the Onijanikin of Ijanikin, Oba Asafa and other citizens who have payed extra ordinary dues towards sustenance of security in Ijanikin, noted that with all hands on deck, situation where people can sleep with their eyes closed will ensue.
The event which took place inside the PCRC hall of Ijanikin division had government officials, monarchs, chiefs, officers and men of the Nigeria Police, PCRC executives captains of industries and community development association heads in attendance.
After the presentation of awards to deserving stakeholders, top of whom was the pioneer PCRC chair, HRM, Oba Dr. Momodu Afolabi Asafa, Mfr, there was a launch and donation for the building of additional 3 offices for the efficiency of the men of the division.
The high point of the event was when the biography of the Onijanikin was read, because of his preference for education and security, even his zero tolerance for all forms of social vices.
It was spectacular when the new Divisional Police Officer, DPO of the division, CSP Nelson Uduak expressed gratitude to the monarch, other High Chiefs, PCRC executives and others, assuring that he will leverage on all cooperations and facilities to rid the area of criminals.
