Popular politician and philanthropist, Hon. Francis Barthlomew Omowale Chima officially joined the Labour Party during the Party’s Town Hall meeting, held at Abayomi Awodiora Hall, Ajeromi, Lagos, yesterday.
Known as Omobarca by the people of Ajeromi/ Ifelodun Federal Constituency, Hon. Chima was the PDP House of Representatives candidate, in the 2023 election.
It was a grand reception and celebration as the National Chairman of LP, Barr. Julius Abure, Lagos gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 election, Rhodes – Vivour, and the Lagos Chairman of the party, Dr. Pst. (Mrs.) Dayo Ekong, led other dignitaries/ sundry stakeholders of the party to welcome Hon. Barthlomew who was obviously elated to align with the great vanguard.
Dr. Abure used the moment to address critical issues of the party and assured the people that the LP structure remains formidable.
In the same vein, Lagos LP chairman, Dr.Pst. (Mrs.) Ekong, hailed the members and urged the current elected members who occupy various leadership posts to always abide by the party’s rules, and never forget to be exemplary.
It was a glorious moment when the Labour Party flag was officially presented by the exco amid ovations.
Reacting to the great moment, Hon. Barthlomew stressed that the move to LP is historic.
” I don’t have much to say. Here I am making history again.
” I just want to thank the National Chairman, State Chairman, women leaders , all the leaders here present for honoring me, for making this day possible.
” I had wanted to fly this flag since last year”, Omorbarca noted.
Proceeding, joyous Hon. Barthlomew affirmed that the LP will clinch victory against other contenders come 2027.
” We shall win them, we shall win the seat in 2027.
“We have always defeated them, and we shall do it again together, by God’s grace “, he noted.
Hon. Francis Barthlomew Chima is a leading nation builder, whose political growth and influence are contingent upon his massive charitable works, social responsibility, youth / general empowerment and penchant for leadership ideology that accelerates change and development.
A cross cultural detribalised patriot, he is endowed with mammoth supporters across the length and breadth of Ajeromi, Lagos and beyond, same teeming population he has moved to Labour Party on his latest stride.
