Executive Secretary, Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, Mrs. Titilola Vivour – Adeniyi has paid AIG Idowu Owohunwa a courtesy visit in search of collaboration against domestic and sexual crimes in Lagos state.
The agency head, together with her entourage were received by the AIG who expressed readiness of the Force CID Annex Alagbon, Lagos for the all important alliance aimed at improving safety, security of lives.
Sequel the AIG directed the immediate setting up of a Team under the Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the FCID, Annex, Lagos with a core mandate of investigation and prosecution of Domestic and Sexual Violence, and to act as the liaison between the Agency and FCID Annex, Lagos.
While the issues of training and capacity development were discussed, the Executive Secretary promised to extend training slots to the detectives to be deployed to the newly established DSV Team in the upcoming program of the Agency.
Vivour – Adeniyi used the occasion to salute the AIG on how he repositioned the Gender Based Violence Unit of the State Command while he held sway as CP.
She also congratulated him for his promotion and his deployment as AIG FCID, Annex, Lagos, seeking support of the Annex in her drive to strengthen the capacity of her agency towards fulfilling its mandate.
In response the AIG hailed Mrs. Vivour – Adeniyi for her resilience and passion in carrying out her duties.
Highlights of the event included the decoration of the AIG with the Agency’s Brotch by Vivour – Adeniyi.
In attendance were CP, General Investigation, AC Legal and other officers as conveyed by a press release signed yesterday, 30 January, by ASP Mayegun Aminat, ANIPR, Police Public Relations Officer, Force CID Annex Alagbon, Ikoyi.
