MURDER: MAN WHO ATTEMPTED TO TAKE FRIEND’S LIFE ARRESTED BY ANAMBRA STATE COMMAND

In another stride to deal deadly blows on crime and criminality in Anambra State, the Police Operatives attached to the Command’s Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), Anambra State Command have arrested one 27 years old, Friday Asuquo who attempted to kill his friend, Kingsley Araino over a misunderstanding that resulted from a one thousand naira bet.

According to the press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Haruna Mohammed, following the altercation, the suspect was said to have rushed to one City of Restoration Church, where he got a pump action gun loaded with four live cartridges and allegedly shot the victim.

However, the scene was visited by police detectives and the victim was rushed to Amaku General Hospital, Awka for medical attention. The suspect also confessed to the offence voluntarily. Investigation is ongoing towards bringing the suspect to book.
