As the New Year festivities took place across the globe yesterday, the newly elected Executive Chairman of Ijero Local Government in Ekiti state, Hon.Julius Abayomi Folowosele, JAF, has felicitated the people and wished them peaceful and prosperous 2024.
JAF who was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC will be officially sworn into office on 4th January.
The incoming LG boss while wishing the people of Ijero well, sought for support and collaboration to make the much desired governance difference.
In the twilight of the year 2023 and days before his official assumption of office, prominent and critical stakeholders paid him solidarity visits as a mark of love.
Some of his visitors were artisans, corporate organisations and individuals, traditional rulers of different communities.
Prominent among those who have pledged outright collaboration towards making his govt successful is a veteran public analyst and critic, Comrade Joel Bamidele Folowosele, who runs the Rightness Ambassadors, a Non Governmental Organization poised to achieve leadership excellence for public good.
Hon. Julius Abayomi Folowosele who ably remains the Akeweje of Ijero Land – a prestigious traditional Chieftaincy title, had earlier visited the Alara of Ara Ekiti and the Elepe of Epe Ekiti to familiarize with them and ascertain the various problems confronting their communities.
The people’s chairman used the occasion to significantly sue for peace in the land.
Timeswatch correspondent who accosted the Chairman on New Year day confirmed that he is in good shape and ready to take up the onerous task of grassroots leadership.
Recall that JAF recorded a landslide victory at the polls to emerge.
