THE All Progressives Congress, APC chairmanship candidate for the July 24th Lagos councils poll, Comrade Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya who recently got the APC candidacy flag from the Executive Governor of Lagos state, His Excellency, Babajide Olushola Sanwo-olu, has expressed congratulations to all Muslim brothers and sisters in the occasion of Sallah, and hailed the people of Igando/Ikotun Local Council Development Area for their unflinching solidarity.
Akinsanya who hosted people of diverse ethnic groups with a Sallah celebration party at his residence yesterday appealed to the electorate, the party faithfuls and leaders to remain confident that final victory for the collective good of the entire LCDA will come soon.
Speaking to Timeswatch during the event, Akinsanya who held sway as two- term Lagos state chapter president of the Nigerian Union of Local Govt Employees, NULGE, assured the party leaders, members and the electorate, of a council leadership that will mark a watershed in the annals of grass roots governance, such that will dot the facets of the council with palpable projects representing real dividends of democracy.
He lauded the National leader of APC, Governor Sanwoolu, the APC state chairman, Hon.Tunde Balogun and other respected party Lords for their enviable and outstanding roles in ensuring peace and progress of the party, Lagos state and Nigeria in general.
Akinsanya finally prayed Nigerians to shun vices and acts capable of balkanizing the country, expressing confidence that the current challenges of the country will fade away soonest.
