Comrade Segun Oluwasanmi is a Media officer of the Committee for the Defense of Human Rights (CDHR), Lagos Branch and a member of the Gani Fawehinmi Organization (GAFORG); a seasoned activist who was destined and divinely called into human liberation. He was assigned the task, in repeated dreams, to make the people smile which he had displayed from his youthful age during which time he would force the “NEPA – oppressors at the time” to deal justly with the people at Amukoko by preventing the NEPA staff from carrying out illegal disconnection of the houses after a reasonable and substantial payment had been paid on the monthly bill – against the usual act of the NEPA staff who would insist on 100% payment – even as a teenager in the 1990s, having gotten the hint from his father who was a NEPA staff that it was wrong to be disconnected after a reasonable payment had been done.
Comrade Segun Oluwasanmi later founded and became the Coordinator of Amukoko Intellectual Forum (AIF) in the mid-1990s with Sharafadeen Akano as the deputy and Owomi Joshua and Segun Adeosun as members/co-founders. *AIF* was a pressure group with which rights of the people was championed at the local level of Amukoko.

He has upload several useful videos in these regards.
Comrade Oluwasanmi has regularly live with integrity and with passion for opposing corruption and whistle blow when necessary. He demonstrated this in a work environment where people believed that the owner was a thief and they must steal their share.

Comrade Oluwasanmi’s stance against corruption earned him discrimination, harassment, humiliation, privileges & rights denials with attempts on his life – spiritually and physically as he would seat and the chair would be hot under his buttock; he was shot in the dream and eventually poisoned which he survived; although his hardwork got him awards including financial; certificate of honour, letter of recognition and many commendations.
Around 2012, Comrade Oluwasanmi brought a branch of CRBAN (Coalition of Residents and Business Owners Association of Nigeria) from Ijesa, Surulere to Aguda. CRBAN was a pressure group founded by late Dawudu and some residents in Ijesa to prevent the extortion and exploitation of the people by the ekedc. He became the first deputy Chairman in Aguda, after an elderly man was made the Chairman for strategic reason. Comrade Oluwasanmi and others in the group effectively used the medium to curtail and contain the excesses of the ekedc in the extortion of the residents via over-billing from estimation. The ekedc was forced to provide reasonable biling amoung for those without a prepaid meter following repeated engagement/jawjaw, to get the ekedc to provide the residents with free prepaid meters eventually after resident were united and requested to pay N2,500 as the reasonable estimated, fair and just amount at the time by those with postpaid meters while disconnection was prevented for months in the area after which prepaid meters were supplied upon engagements with the ekedc including litigation.
He has since then continually gotten justice for people on electricity billing and metering. A lot have gotten refunds of excess payments made to the distribution companies – majorly ekedc reaging between N700,000 and N2,000,000 while many benefited from free prepaid meters issuance when they could have been ordinarily extorted.
Comrade Oluwasanmi joined the CDHR at this time upon his introduction to the group by Comrade Samuel Adeoba of Aguda Unit who associated with the CRBAN being a progressive himself.
