We discovered with chargrin and outright displeasure, a Facebook publication credited to one Sheriffdeen Ojon, discrediting the person of Hon. Comrade Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya, Executive chairman of Igando – Ikotun LCDA, Alimosho, Lagos.

The account cast a wrong aspersion on the LGA boss on a public forum such as Facebook intentionally to demean him and drag his tall reputation in the mud.

This situation carries some covert personal reasons and political undercurrents which are no doubt applied as weapons to make a mess of the great leadership cum administrative edifice of a respected third tier development enthusiast and democracy stakeholder in Nigeria, given his enviable pedigree and his very succinctly attractive scorecard, that is dotted with ample and sustainable achievements!

While advising the author of that scandalous, scathing social media post capable of misleading, misinforming netizens, to purge himself of hate and negativity; we hereby make bold to unequivocally state as follow:

# That Hon. Comrade Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya, is a man of honour and integrity with spartan ways and sterling socio economic inputs to the development of the nation, not just the LCDA.
# That the aspersions cast by the author are in antithesis to reality about Hon. Akinsanya, who is a valued family and community keeper and builder – a father that painstakingly shoulder a myriad of family and public needs.
# That majority of us in the media who have been following trends in Igando – Ikotun LCDA disagree with the author’s claim of none performance and irresponsibility about the chairman.
# That completed and ongoing projects are everywhere in the council area.
# That the intent of Sheriffdeen Ojon was immoral and blasphemous in his description of the noble council boss that Hon. Akinsanya is.
# That people are still aback and amiss at the negative energy exerted by the author of the unfortunate, sad and totally sorry account.
However, may it be known to Sheriffdeen Ojon, and other proponents of such abysmal communication, that objective criticism is a better catalyst for democratic success in any administration.
We also advice any aggrieved person to seek amicable procedures to spur productivity in governance rather than throwing fabricated banters!
Long live Igando/ Ikotun Local Council Development Area, Long live Alimosho, Lagos, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
