Renowned scholar and rising statesman, Professor Christopher Imumolen has spurred the youths of Nigeria to arise to the occasion and lift their nation from malgovernance and underdevelopment.
Imumolen who is also the National Chairman of Accord Party and President of the Institute for Skills Qualification and Development – Nigeria, at the National Youth Stakeholders Conference, NYSC held recently in Abuja, admonished Nigerian youths to be the force in nation building rather than remaining helpless observers.
The education technocrat / political leadership stakeholder equally advised youths to channel their time and energy productively and gainfully.
Expatiating on his call, he urged them to consider what they can do to contribute to their personal and national economies instead of expending time and money worshipping those who have made it.
He however cited Zuckerberg of Facebook and countless other icons as people who became outstanding through innovative thoughts and actions.
Inspiring the youths further, Imumolen mentioned tech experts and leadership icons like Yakubu Gowon, Obasanjo as great minds that rose early to hold the bull by the horns in the scheme of things.
Reacting to questions bordering on his enthusiasm for education and his advice to Nigerian leaders from Timeswatch correspondent, he noted,
” Education is the major tool that can transform an individual into discovering his potentials.
“It is vital to help people know who they are. A life without any education almost a dead one.
“The difference between the West and Africa is their exposure to education, quality education.
“There are formal, informal and non formal forms of education.
“I am passionate about education because it can liberate a being and society.
“Leaders must begin to lead with empathy, knowing that they are servants, and that they shall give accounts to God someday”, Imumolen ended.
