His Majesty, Eze Ephraim Nnaemeka, the Eze Ndigbo of Aboru land, Lagos state, has expressed grief over the exit of elder statesman, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, describing his death as a big blow and loss to the Southeast.

The vocal traditional head of the Igbos noted that while age may be related to his demise, the crises around the apex leadership position of Ohanaeze was one big problem that was so much for an elderly man like late Iwuanyanwu, pointing that Professor Obiozor also died in office.

Speaking further, Eze Nnaemeka posited that the time when preference for younger people to handle great leadership positions is now.
According to him, leadership is a whole lot of multifaceted problem that tasks emotional, psychological, physical, even spiritual energies of a person, thus should be the function of a young individual that possesses the wherewithal.

On the looming hardship protest, Nnaemeka emphasised the need for Ndigbo to keep off the protest arrangement, advising that the protest will yield little or nothing, against the obvious reason that the factors for Nigeria’s socio economic, political problems are deeper than meets the eyes.
“Rather than attack the problems of hardship from the surface, Nigerians should seek solutions from constitutional and electoral points of view.
“I have to urge all stakeholders to focus on ways to achieve thorough electoral reform and exhaustive constitutional review, towards a holistic panacea.
“Towing these crucial pathways can address economic and general leadership miasma, without unnecessary tensions and dangerous face offs”, Nnaemeka averred.

As a general admonition, the Eze who is known for his unflinching position for good governance and integrity in leadership, prayed Ndigbo, even Nigerians, to face their businesses seriously and avoid distractions, stating that without concerted efforts geared towards constitutional and electoral reforms, nothing substantial will happen transformationally to Nigeria.
“Tinubu is an old man in a position that requires extreme physical and mental alertness he probably does not have.
“Nigeria’s leadership space needs more than we are giving it to be effectively beautiful, the reason it is sacrosanct that our constitution and leadership transition affairs must be sacredly and righteously treated”, Nnaemeka submitted.
