As he was turbaned the Addo of Abaji-Abuja, by the chairman of the FCT Council of Traditional Rulers, HRH, Alh. Adamu Baba Yunusa, mfr, CON, yesterday at the palace of the ancient kingdom of Abaji, Abuja, Prof Chris Irene Imumolen, Vice Chancellor, Global Wealth University and President of the JPTS Institute of Management, Science & Technology, has lauded the Ona of Abaji, describing him as an exceptional royal father who has a great deposit of patriotism and integrity.
The coronation ceremony which was massively attended by people and dignitaries from different parts of their country also attracted a mammoth crowd of students made up of the members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) who traditionally besieged the coronation venue, chanting solidarity songs.
The Ona of Abaji, while addressing the crowd at the event, said the title given to Prof. Imumolen is very important to the Abaji people, explaining that it given because of the good works he has been doing in Nigeria.
“I am blessing you with this chieftaincy title so that you go on with your good works as a light and beauty of Abaji people and indeed, Nigerians” the Ona stated.
Reacting to the coronation, Prof. Imumolen stressed that his major gratitude is to God Almighty. He also thanked the Ona for finding him worthy of the prestigious title of Addo due to the little thing he has done, pledging that the title is a jolting pat on his back and an energy to do more for God and humanity.
“I see this great blessing from HRH Baba Yunusa, mfr, CON, as a fatherly blessing and a motivation to do greater works.
” I am happy to be part of Abaji and Nigerians from this part. One of my major dreams is to see a nation where all Nigerians are united truly, not divided by religion or ethnicity.
“I want to see sincerely, a truly prosperous nation where people are happy and independent. If Nigerians can love each other, patriotism will rise and Nigeria will spring to an amazing economic buoyancy”, Prof Chris noted.
