The New Commander, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Lagos State Command, Barr. Callys O. Alumona (CN), has embarked on courtesy visits to critical stakeholders in order to boost the fight against Drug Abuse and other crimes in Lagos.
According to Mallum Musa, Public Affairs Officer, NDLEA, Lagos command, One of the stakeholders that the Commander visited was the Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Lagos State Command, at his office in Alausa.
The visit was to familiarize himself with the Commandant and consolidate and solidify on the existing working relationship that was already established.
During the visit the Commander NDLEA sought for more supports in information sharing, manpower when the need arises for synergy.
He stated that the NSCDC personnel are almost everywhere in Lagos which makes them vital in information gathering from the very events base of the society.
In his response the Commandant stated that he will do his best, that the two agencies will work together to fulfil the mandate of securing Lagos residents and their properties, as well as Government infrastructure.
He maintained that no Security Agency is an island, that all must work together for the desired results to be achieved in the fight aginst crime and criminality in the State.
