The new Passport Control Officer (PCO), Ikoyi passport office of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Deputy Comptroller of Immigration (DCI), Abolupe Bewaji, has promised to ensure quality and efficient Service delivery to anyone who comes to the office to apply for international passport. The officer gave the assurance recently in her office during her first meeting with a cross section of the media.
According to her, henceforth applicants will be attended to on first come-first serve basis, adding that all passport renewal will now take three weeks, while fresh applications will take six weeks to process
She urged all applicants to ensure that details on their documents used to process the passport correspond with their NIN before embarking on passport processing. She thanked management of Access Bank for the recent donation of 100KVA generator to the Ikoyi passport office which will go a long way to hasten their job.
Those in attendance at the briefing include her second-in-command, Assistant Comptroller of Immigration (ACI), Malami Tsamiya and other senior officers.
