PREPARATORY to the long awaited international leadership forum of the Voiceout Nigeria News, Nigeria international entrepreneur and principal advisor of VONN, Ambassador Steve Nwose has enjoined well meaning Nigerians to participate in the zoom leadership summit of VONN scheduled to hold this weekend.
Ambassador steve who is a rising statesman from all indications charged Nigerians to tow the path of patriotism and seek ways of actualising the long desired new nigeria which is the primary purpose of the VONN leadership seminar.
According to Steve, the zoom (online) international seminar will be historical, owing to the calibre of experienced global thinkers lined up to do justice to edifying topics that range from leadership transparency; Patriotism Amongst Citizens; Leadership from the Family Front to the Essence of Security In a Democracy-Issues he said will be exhaustively treated for the elucidation of all participants by seasoned professionals, such as a Chief Superintendent of Police in Nigeria (CSP), Olabisi Okuwobi of the Force Headquarters , Abuja, the Nigerian federal Capital Territory; Kunle Tometi (phd), Dr (mrs) Cecilia Okachi-global educator, councellor and Board member, Joint Professionals Trainning & Support International-JPTS amongst others.
Ambassador Steve who spoke to the press online noted that patriotism is a virtue which must be resident in both the leaders and followers in Nigeria as the responsibility to build a reliable polity is a collective duty.
Using the American experience where he resides as a patriotic citizen, employer of labour and head of social groups, Steve pointed that the recent American election has shown how seriously Americans hold leadership; the reason he stressed that he was one of the first persons that cast their ballots to get the right person into the White House.
Steve emphasised that the super state of infrastructure in the united states of America is symbolic of a super leadership structure built over the years through patriotism and dedication to the American cause, butterssing the need for Nigerians to come together to reset the mechanism of the Nigerian state via leadership which remains the fulcrum that carries the nation.
“This is the time when all stakeholders must fuse efforts to pursue a better and greater Nigeria, especially the type where leaders must embody transparency and sincerity in public service.
“It is important for the younger generation to sustain the peaceful agitation in demand for a new Nigeria. And this agitation must be backed by all patriots”, Ambassador Steve said.
On the state of the Nigeria nation, Steve stressed the need for the older generation to sincerely apologise to the younger generation for creating a system that has made it impossible for the ordinary people to access and enjoy the good things of life, pointing that most of the good things of life reserved for a few in Nigeria are common provisions that leadership has ensured.
Steve howerver affirmed that the Voiceout Nigeria News (VONN) leadership lecture is part of the patriotic steps he will be taking towards a better Nigerian world, assuring that the seminar which will be hosted by him chiefly, will help design a module and a model that will re-write the national narrative.of Nigeria.
Speaking, he said, “This is my quota in the urgency of now when there is a cry and longing for rebirth in the land of Nigeria.
“If stakeholders across board can synergise through unique media dimension such as VONN is championing with this forum; sooner, Nigeria will metamorphose into a truly great nation where all citizens can be proud”.
Highlighting the essence of integrity in leadership, Amb. Steve stressed that leadership should start with us, and that everyone must seek what is right and abhor what is wrong.
Expressing his readiness to be part of leadership in Nigeria if the need arises, he indicated that if he is given an executive power to rule Nigeria, corruption will be one of the first challenges he will combat headlong, so as to be able to effectively tackle other problems patriotically.
On his rating of Voiceout Nigeria News, Steve proclaimed that VONN is a new media presently playing major roles in educating, informing and entertaining the global populace through the internet. He therfore called on Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to be part of the VONN leadership project which targets to amply contribute to the process leading to the direly needed socio-economic rebirth in Nigeria.
