ABDUCTORS WHO KILLED AND BURIED VICTIM CAUGHT BY ANAMBRA POLICE

FOLLOWING intensive manhunt and actionable intelligence, the police operatives attached to the Command’s Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) arrested three suspects who allegedly abducted and killed a 34 years old Henry Okam of Okija in Ihiala LGA, Anambra State, yesterday.

       

The press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Muhammed, had it that the deseased was killed with a pomp action gun and subsequently buried him in a shallow grave.

After making a confessional statements, the suspects took operatives to a thick forest in Ihiala where the decomposing body of the victim was exhumed and recovered to the mortuary for autopsy, after it was certified dead by a medical doctor. Recovered from them were the pump action gun and the victim’s phones.

The Commissioner of Police, CP John B. Abang, reiterated his clarion call that there is no hiding place for Criminals in Anambra State and that the Command under his watch will continue to fish out and deal decisively with criminal elements in accordance with the law, until they repent or relocate from the State.
